Red Fox, Colorado. After photographing foxes all morning, this fox stepped into a ray of sunshine and posed for a brief second.
Canon 500mm f/4 lens at f/5, Canon 1D Mark II digital camera, ISO 100, 1/1000 second, -0.3 stop. Image sharpened with Adaptive Richardson-Lucy image restoration. This method and the detail in this image are discussed in: http://clarkvision.com/imagedetail/image-restoration1 which shows that an approximately factor of 2 improvement in detail is achieved, allowing some of the sharpest 16x22 inch prints I've achieved with a digital camera.
