Ophir Valley, San Juan Mountains, Colorado. This view of the Ophir valley was imaged in the afternoon from the Ophir Pass 4-wheel drive road. September 30, 2003. The small town of Ophir is near center.

Technical. This is a large format, 4x5, image, scanned at 3200 pixels per inch at 16-bits per pixel. The full image is 14,820 c 11,730 pixels. Fujichrome Velvia (ISO 50) film. The detail in the image in a big enlargement is like you are standing there.
