END_MICROSCOPIC_EXAMINATION.

SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:

Spectrum has absorptions characteristic of calcite and kaolinite. In the 2 - 2.5 micron region the calcite absorption at 2.3389 micron dominates the spectrum partially concealing the entire kaolinite doublet band at 2.2068 microns.
