SAMPLE_DESCRIPTION:
Dead willow collected from a on the eastern bank of the Arkansas River about 0.5 km south of the confluence with California Gulch, about 3 km south of the City of Leadville. The willow grew out of fluvial tailings washed down the Arkansas River in the early 1900's. Capillary action brought salts (with heavy metals) to the surface causing the willows along the river bank to die.
