The Harvest Moon rises over the town of Oia on the Island of Santorini, Greece.
Technical. Canon 5D Mark II 21 megapixel digital camera, 70-200 mm f/4 L IS lens at 70 mm. ISO 100, 1/3 second at f/8. Full image, no crop. This is a high dynamic range (HDR) image with the second exposure of 1/30 second, f/8 so the Moon is not overexposed (this small web image does not show the detail in the Moon that the full resolution image does). The HDR results in a dynamic range of about 15 stops.
